Pan American Airways pilots William Nash and William Fortenberry observed 6 bright red-orange disc-shaped objects flying in an echelon formation at approximately 2,000 mph below their DC-4. When the objects neared a vessel, they flipped on edge simultaneously and reversed direction instantly — then were joined by two more objects emerging from below. The entire maneuver was performed at speeds and with precision impossible for any known aircraft. Rigorously investigated by Blue Book.
